
Residents are invited to learn more about local law enforcement by attending this year’s first Citizens Police Academy. The 11-week program is scheduled to begin May 23, according to a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department.
The citizens academy provides participants with a comprehensive view of the department and information aboutr its components, including 911 operations, an overview of basic law enforcement training, and community programs. It will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays.
