You can catch up on stories about:
- Why Cumberland County Sheriff Ennis Wright is suing the North Carolina Auditor Office — which is trying to investigate the Sheriff’s Office.
- PFAS has contaminated the drinking water wells at people’s homes near Fort Liberty. What can they do?
- How North Carolina farmers are handling the recent drought, followed by the abundance of rain — and how much rain is too much rain?
- 15 people have signed up to be candidates for the Cumberland County Board of Education in the November elections — including Hope Mills’ former mayor, Jackie Warner.
- The Fayetteville Public Works Commission is getting ready to reduce electricity rates.
Evey and Paul also offered reviews of the new “Deadpool & Wolverine” movie, which they saw over the weekend. It’s fun, but definitely not for children or people who are squeamish about blood and gore.
And Paul talked about upcoming local stage show and community theater events: A Yellow Beanie Project’s “Summer Shorts” show, originally scheduled for this coming weekend, has been postponed, Sweet Tea Shakespeare has a block party this month to kick off its season (Paul volunteers and performs with Sweet Tea Shakespeare), and Cape Fear Regional Theatre will open its season with the “Footloose” musical.
