Several Community Watch groups will join the Fayetteville Police Department on Tuesday to observe National Night Out, a campaign to encourage community involvement to promote safer neighborhoods.  

Residents and Community Watch groups can register a National Night Out observance with the Police Department by visiting faypd.com and filling out an electronic form, according to a city of Fayetteville news release.

An interactive map on the website will help residents find activities across the city, the release said.

According to the website, the observances include:

  • B Street Community, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Person Street Park. Hot dogs, games, face painting, music.
  • Briarwood-Clairway neighborhoods, 6-8 p.m., 2505 Village Drive. Dogslingers food truck, community group displays.
  • Broadell-Seabrook, 5-7 p.m., 1520 Slater Ave. Prayer and appreciation service, hot dogs, snow cones.
  • Cliffdale West Community Watch, 5-8 p.m., 999 Millstream Road. Community cookout, Mr. Slushy truck, Wounded Warrior Project.
  • Kornbow Neighborhood Watch, 6-8 p.m., 4323 Blanton Road. Community cookout.
  • LaGrange neighborhood, 6-9 p.m., 555 N. Reilly Road. Cookout, pedal-car racing, bounce house, games.
  • Liberty Hill at Kings Grant, 6-8 p.m., 3353 Northgate Drive. Community cookout.
  • Massey Hill Community Watch, 6-7:30 p.m., 141 May St. Cookout.
  • New Ponderosa Community Association, 4-7 p.m., 802 Bedrock Drive. Block party, food, games, music.
  • Rayconda, 2102 S. Ancon Drive. Community cookout, activities, police and fire departments.
  • Tera Gardens Apartments, 4:45-7 p.m., 233 Law Road. Block party with free food, games, bounce house, DJ and prizes.
  • The Lodge, Fayetteville Area Operation Inasmuch, 6-9:30 p.m., 418 Chance St. Community cookout.
  • Wells Place Community Watch, 6-8 p.m., 1844 Rayconda Road. Ice cream, information session with community agencies.
