Cumberland County Schools will give families an up-close look at its specialized academic programs during the district’s annual Choice Fair.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 15, at E.E. Smith High School in Fayetteville. Principals, academy directors, and staff from across the district will explain the Choice Programs for elementary, middle and high school students.

The district says the programs are built around themes such as science, arts and culture, technology, and hands-on career pathways.

Families can ask questions, learn about program requirements and explore how each option supports student learning, social-emotional development, extracurricular opportunities, and real-world experiences.

Neighborhood school information will also be available.

The application period for the 2026–27 school year opens Nov. 17, and runs through Jan. 9, 2026.

More details and the Choice Program Guide can be found on the district’s website. Applications may be submitted online.
