Daniel Goldner, 91, of Kernersville, NC, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ruth and Weldon Reese.

He is survived by two sons, Jeff and Brian; 5 grandchildren Katie, Lauren, Cameron, Kayla and Kenzie; and great-grandson Asher.

“Dan” served in several roles during his career in Cumberland County Schools, including as a coach at Hope Mills High School in the early 1960’s and Principal at Cedar Creek Elementary School, Mary McAthur Elementary School, Seventy-First Elementary School, and retiring from Lloyd Auman Elementary School.  He officiated multiple sports at the high school after leaving coaching.  He was a sports fan and a Freemason. He was a collector of antiques, coins, golf memorabilia, and anything else you’d need. In his late years, he enjoyed spending time with family and Nettie Hair – who cared for him greatly. 

The family will receive friends at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home on Tuesday June 30 from 1 to 3 pm.
