Cool Spring Downtown District is adding to holiday decor and interactive features beginning Nov. 15, according to a news release.
Downtown residents, visitors and business owners can expect to find an array of ‘District Winterscapes’ for the holiday season, according to CEO Bianca Shoneman.
“We’re especially excited to be one of the first places in the state to welcome three augmented reality stations, allowing visitors to engage on the street level with AR impressions, creating memories through science and digital art,” Shoneman said.
Also new this year, the downtown agency is welcoming the immersive art of Robin Vuchnich, who will use projection mapping to illuminate the Self-Help building with larger-than-life holiday Winterscapes.
The Winterscapes will include:
- A 22-Foot Carolina fir holiday tree at 301 Hay St., designed by Mosca Design.
- Holiday Alley at 222 Hay St., designed by Downtown Safety and Engagement Ambassadors.
- A 10-foot ornamental stack at 100 Hay St., designed by Mosca Design.
- Augmented “Jack Frost” station at 116 Green St. designed by Novaby.
- Projection mapping at 112 Hay St., designed by Robin Vuchnich.
- Six-foot light-up strings at 102 Person St., designed by Mosca Design.
- A 6-by-16-foot light-up Joy lettering at 325 Franklin St., designed by Mosca Design.
- “Hanging With My Gnomes” reality station at 222 Hay St. designed by Novaby.
- “For the Trees” reality station at 318 Hay St., designed by Novaby.
- “Letters to Santa” at 222 Hay St.
- Holiday lights on Burgess Street.
