Happy Pride, Cumberland County! 

As members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies search for ways to support and celebrate throughout the month of June, CityView has you covered with a comprehensive guide to Pride events in Cumberland County. 

Check out our list of local Pride offerings below: 

Love is Love Drag Brunch

  • WHERE: Gaston Brewing Taproom, 421 Chicago Drive, Fayetteville
  • WHEN: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. June 9; doors open at 11 a.m. for brunch and the show begins at 12 p.m.
  • HOW MUCH: $20 for a show-only ticket, $35 for the show and brunch
  • WHO: Tatianna Matthews is hosting, with special guests Prwincezz Malaysia Kay, Alora Parque, Amanda Playwith and Allda Smoke. DJ Alan will provide music. 
  • GET YOUR TICKET: Tickets can be purchased on the Simpletix website

Fayetteville Woodpeckers “Night OUT”

  • WHERE: Segra Stadium, 460 Hay St., Fayetteville
  • WHEN: 6:35 p.m. June 13
  • HOW MUCH: Tickets range from $25 to $30 depending on seating choice
  • WHO: The Woodpeckers will play the Salem Red Sox, and the event is in support of Fayetteville PRIDE
  • GET YOUR TICKET: Tickets can be purchased through the Woodpeckers website, which is offering 200 special event tickets that include a Woodpeckers Pride-themed replica jersey with purchase.

Skating with Pride

  • WHERE: 115 Skateway Drive, Fayetteville
  • WHEN: Noon to 1:30 p.m. June 23
  • HOW MUCH: Free
  • WHO: The event is cosponsored by The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone and Fayetteville PRIDE
  • GET YOUR TICKET: Attendees must register here

Fayetteville Goth Night “Out of the Coffin!” pride event

  • WHERE: Paul’s Place, 719 Starling St., Fayetteville
  • WHEN: 8 p.m. to midnight June 24
  • HOW MUCH: Free, but donations will be collected at the door to support Fayetteville PRIDE
  • WHO: Music will be provided by DJ Dave Industrie, and the night will showcase goth music from LGBTQ+ artists. The event is 21+.

Fayetteville PRIDE at 4th Friday

  • WHERE: Downtown Fayetteville
  • WHEN: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. June 28
  • HOW MUCH: Free, though a variety of vendors come to 4th Friday to sell their wares
  • WHO: Fayetteville PRIDE, the organization behind Fayetteville’s annual PRIDEFEST. Representatives from Fayetteville PRIDE will have information on how to participate in its monthly meetings and support groups.

Fayetteville PRIDEFEST 2024!

  • WHERE: Festival Park, 335 Ray Ave., Fayetteville
  • WHEN: Noon to 6 p.m. June 29
  • HOW MUCH: Free, though a variety of vendors will be at the event
  • WHO: Fayetteville PRIDE, which has hosted Pridefest for five years now. The festival broke attendance records in 2022 with 6,000 attendees.

“The Birdcage” movie screening

  • WHERE: Cameo Art House Theatre, 225 Hay St., Fayetteville
  • WHEN: 8 p.m. June 29
  • HOW MUCH: Free, though the Cameo does sell a variety of treats and beverages
  • WHO: The theater will screen the 1996 comedy “The Birdcage,” starring Robin Williams as a drag club owner, Nathan Lane as his partner and a popular drag queen, and Dan Futterman as Val, Williams and Lane’s son who gets engaged to a conservative politician’s daughter. After the movie, participants can enjoy a drag contest.

  1. If attendance records were broken in 2022 for Pride, imagine how many folks in the area would have come out for a Flag Day celebration, which this city did not even recognize this year!
