
The last program in a three-part series examining problems in the justice system is scheduled for April 17.
Advocacy organizations including the local NAACP chapter, Quaker House, Fayetteville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority; NC Rage, Fayetteville NOW and Organizing Against Racism are sponsors of the series, along with the city of Fayetteville Human Relations Department.
The final session of “Healing Justice” will focus on “restorative justice” with a demonstration using a high school conflict, according to a news release.
The session will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. April 17 at the Kiwanis Recreation Center, 352 Devers St.
Part 1 of the series focused on trauma and damage to relationships; Part 2 addressed how not dealing with the cause of harm can exacerbate the trauma, according to the news release.
