Miriam Torres McLamb, passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Miriam was born in Germany, on August 31, 1959 to the late Carlos and Fausta “Cory” Torres.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carlos Torres; her mother, Fausta “Cory” Torres; and her younger brother, Timothy Torres.
Miriam is survived by her husband of 47 years, Michael; her daughter Maria (Justin); son Michael “Mikey” (Danielle); five grandchildren, Noah, Keagen, Piper-Kate, Micah, and Timothy “Timmy”; four brothers, Charlie Torres (Duane), David Torres (Molly), Oscar Torres, Phillip Torres (Robin); four sisters, Gladys Pedrojew (Walt), Rosemery Brigman (Rick), Elizabeth “Ellie” Shore, and Patricia “Pat” Torres; and many nieces and nephews.
Miriam never met a stranger and loved to make friends. Those friends immediately became family. She believed all persons from all walks of life were special and deserved to be treated with love and respect. She was feisty, determined, and had a strength built from a life of hard work and a strong belief in God’s grace.
We will receive friends and family for her viewing at Adcock Funeral Home from 6-8 PM on Monday, July 28, 2025.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Adcock Funeral Home at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 and she will be laid to rest immediately after service at Riverview Memorial Gardens.
In honor of our bright and beautiful mother, we ask all that attend her service to please wear cool comfortable attire and, if possible, wear pink (her signature color) or purple (endocrine cancers)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Special Olympics of North Carolina at sonc.net.
