The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles has opened a license plate agency in Robeson County, according to a news release.

The agency is at 118 W. Fifth St. in Lumberton. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on state holidays, the release said.

The agency replaces one that closed in December and will be operated by Harvey Godwin of Two Hawks LPA Service. DMV oversees license plate agencies, but the locations are managed by private businesses or local governments, the release said.

The agencies offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags, handicap placards and duplicate registrations, the release said.

Services such as property tax payments and registration renewals can also be completed online at MyNCDMV.gov.
