Good morning. The Fayetteville City Council will hold a public hearing today to consider a proposal from a Florida-based developer to revive long-stalled plans for a tower atop the Hay Street parking deck.
The downtown plan calls for a seven-story apartment building with 124 units and a six-story hotel with 119 rooms. Construction would begin in June 2026 and wrap up by May 2028.
The contract says the city could lend the developer, Fay Hay Master Venture LLC, up to $5.7 million to complete the project, which includes the long-sought installation of an elevator. Read more in today’s top story.
