Grammy Award-winning rapper and record producer J. Cole returned home to Fayetteville on Wednesday, closing the North American leg of his The Fall-Off Tour with a sold-out performance. 

Cole remains a popular figure in Fayetteville. When he released The Fall-Off in February—his seventh album—fans stopped by his childhood home on Forest Hills Drive to pay homage. They did so again on Wednesday ahead of his concert at the Crown Coliseum.

R&B artist PJ, who is from Greensboro, also performed on Wednesday and is featured on Cole’s track “Legacy,” which was part of the 32-song set list for the concert. North Carolina native Petey Pablo was a surprise guest at the show.

Cole’s tour opens its international stretch in Berlin on October 7.
