A South Carolina man was shot to death when he went to a home on Palomino Drive in Fayetteville to purchase drugs, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Ni’Reash Rayshaun Timmons was shot dead about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he went to a home in the 1900 block of Palomino Drive to buy drugs, according to a news release.
An altercation ensued, and Timmons was shot dead, the release said.
Elmer Leon Spears, 54, of Fayetteville, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Timmons, the release said. Spears was held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
The Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating the shooting death.
