Bus fares to be reinstated July 1 after 3-year break because of COVID-19
The city’s transit system will reinstate bus fares beginning July 1, more than three years after fares were suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fares will apply to all fixed routes and paratransit services, according to the Fayetteville Area System of Transit.
Woman charged with trespassing on school bus, Sheriff’s Office says
A Fayetteville woman was arrested on a charge of trespassing on a school bus Friday morning, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrested Bertha Sheppard, 40, at 10:50 a.m. Friday, according to a news release.
FAST to hold job fair for bus drivers on March 8
The Fayetteville Area System of Transit will host a hiring fair for bus drivers on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 8 at the NC Works Career Center, 490 N. McPherson Church Road.
