Fayetteville newcomer finds new perspective on the county fair
My sister and I took in the penultimate night of the Cumberland County Fair, located at the Crown Complex, on Saturday, leaving about four hours after we arrived with a newfound appreciation for the spirit of competition that fairs typically offer as well as other traditions that long-standing celebrations like these offer.
Cumberland County Fair opens with full lineup of special days through Sept. 10
The Cumberland County Fair opened Friday at the Crown Complex and will run through Sept. 10. The fair celebrates the county’s agricultural heritage and combines family fun, informative agricultural exhibits, an art show and entertainment with amusement rides and food booths.

The Cumberland County Fair will return to the Crown Complex on Sept. 1-10. The fair will showcase the history of agricultural communities, celebrate a diversity of local arts and crafts, and provide family entertainment.
