County residents are warned of a text message scam that falsely claims to be from the Cumberland County Department of Public Health. The health department will never text residents about medical diagnoses or lab results.
New chamber program works to protect consumers from scams, bad businesses
The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce announced the launch of its newest program, the Consumer Protection Division, at a news conference Thursday morning. The program’s mission is to create a guide of ethical and honest businesses in the greater Fayetteville area, provide scam warnings, and curate consumer reports for Fayetteville residents.
