The Cumberland County high school Athletes of the Week are:
- Ethan Wienand, Cape Fear, baseball
Wienand went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBIs in Cape Fear’s win over Gray’s Creek last week that clinched the United 8 Conference regular season championship.
- Noni MacFadden, Cape Fear, softball
McFadden was 5-for-7 with a home run and two RBIs in wins over South View and Gray’s Creek.
