A woman was found dead in a home in the 3200 block of Kentyre Drive just after 10 p.m. Thursday, and the suspect in her death was found dead later by Southern Pines police according to the Fayetteville Police Department. Homicide detectives are investigating.

Fort Liberty soldier faces multiple child sexual assault charges
Army Maj. Vincent Theodore Ramos, 39, a Fort Liberty soldier who lives in Southern Pines, was arrested Aug. 30 at Raleigh-Durham International Airport and charged with multiple sex crimes against children earlier this year, according to a statement from the Moore County Sheriff’s Office.
