Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations is accepting scholarship applications from Cumberland County high school seniors until April 6, according to a news release.

High school, private school and home-school graduating seniors seeking financial assistance to attend a two- or four-year college are encouraged to apply.

Applications can be found on the Fayetteville-Cumberland Human Relations websiteย or the guidance department at local high schools, the release said.ย 

The award is $1,000.

Criteria for the scholarship include:

  • Student has lived in Cumberland County at least one year immediately prior to applying.
  • Student will be a senior in a high school in Cumberland County.
  • Student has maintained an average of 2.50 GPA or better.
  • Student has been admitted as a full-time student in an accredited course of study at a two- or four-year college.
