One man was in critical condition after gunfire was reported in the area of Seabrook Park about 8 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
Investigators said a crowd had gathered at the park and gunfire was reported in the area of outdoor basketball courts and Slater Avenue, a news release said.
Multiple calls were made to 911 with reports that people were shooting at each other and that a vehicle had crashed into the pool.
Officers found a man with a gunshot wound in the road on Slater Avenue, the release said. They rendered first aid, and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Investigators believe that multiple witnesses have information on the shooting, the release said.
