(Editorโ€™s note: This report has been updated with the identity of the victim and details of the collision.)

The man riding a motorcycle who was killed Wednesday evening when he collided with another vehicle on Yadkin Road has been identified as a Fort Bragg soldier, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.

The crash was reported about 7:30 p.m. in the 5400 block of Yadkin Road, according to a news release.ย

Investigating officers found Cooper Wolfgram, 22, who was stationed on Fort Bragg, in the roadway. Wolfgram was taken to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries, the release said.

Investigators say Wolfgram was driving a 2023 Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle traveling south on Yadkin Road. Natalie Tager, 26, of Fayetteville, was driving a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup. ย

The preliminary investigation found that Tager was making a left turn from the parking lot of 5439 Yadkin Road onto Yadkin Road. Wolfgram was unable to stop in time and collided with the front of Tagerโ€™s pickup, the news release said.

Speed does appear to have been a factor, the release said. ย

Yadkin Road was closed temporarily from Santa Fe Drive to Brookfield Road, the release said.
