Methodist University is adding online courses in criminal justice, nursing and education beginning in the fall.

Online programs offer flexibility for working adults, active-duty military personnel, and anyone else looking to advance their careers, according to a news release from the university.

Online courses are taught by the same faculty that teaches in-person courses, the release said. A counselor is assigned to each online student.

Methodist offers 22 online programs.

The additions include an undergraduate program and four graduate programs:

Methodist also will add five minors to its online offerings: Computer information technology, criminal justice, health care administration, psychology, and social work.

The deadline to register for the fall semester is July 31, the release said. Go to the Methodist University website for more information.

“The new online graduate programs and undergraduate program will allow students who are unable to complete a face-to-face program due to family, work or military commitments to pursue a fully online program and prepare for successful careers,” said Beth Carter, vice provost for online and extended learning.

Methodist University also offers online degrees in social work, accounting, business administration, computer information technology, health care administration, marketing and psychology.
