Michael Leroy Vassaur was born October 9, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He passed away in his home in Fayetteville, NC on December 20, 2022, at the age of 64.
Mike was known for his ability to make friends with anyone and the care he showed everyone, even strangers he never met. He loved UNC basketball, photography, his dogs and keeping up with his long time friends. There wasn’t a person that he couldn’t make smile, and he always made those around him feel seen and noticed.
Mike worked at DuPont for roughly 20 years as a product manager. He worked hard in all aspects that he did. Most importantly, Mike was a good husband, father, and brother. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his daughter, Chelsea; and brother, Robert.
Mike will be missed beyond all measures. He was a great man that truly will forever be one of a kind. To have met such a soul like him, is truly unforgettable and an honor. We will love him forever, even far beyond our last breath.
