Minister Alberta Linda Mae McCoy, 77, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on June 26, 2026, with strength and grace. Born June 15, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Novella McCoy.
A lifelong resident of Fayetteville, Alberta graduated from E.E. Smith High School, Class of
1968, continued her education at Fayetteville Technical Community College and attended beauty school. She worked twenty years with Cumberland County Schools before retiring and later served as a medical
technician. She was a devoted member of First Pentecostal FWB Church and a beloved friend to
many.
Known affectionately as Ms. Linda, Lunda, Bert, and Kitty Lou, she leaves to cherish her
memory her daughters, Tammi Smith and Ramika Baines; her son, Randy McCoy; the grandson
she lovingly raised, Darius McCoy-Blue; grandchildren, Ashley (Tavon), Trinity, and Sentell; three great-grandchildren, Paris, Skye, and Noah; siblings, Patricia (Don) Moore and Roger (Linda) McCoy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
