Leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Bobby Yancy Jr.; two sisters, Melanie Sledge Newton (Andrew) and Deborah Sledge Phillips; two brothers, Embordian Sledge, Jr. (Alicia) and Dr. James Sledge; two nephews, Joshua Sledge-Johnson (Noja) and Terrence Davis; two nieces, Natasha Dinkins and Meleena Newton; four great nieces, Charlie, Cameron, Corrie and Kailee; two great nephews, Kaiden and Amir.
Other family members include five aunts, Gladys Hedgepeth, Mary Dickens, Yvonne Mayo, Laura Bridges and Wilma Battle; and one uncle, William Mayo. She leaves many other relatives and host of longtime friends, including Ortherine Williams and Lamar D. Revis.
