Colvin Funeral Home & Crematory…announces this earthly transition of Helen Viola Davis McKinnon, of Fayetteville, NC, who departed this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the age of 87. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her seven loving sons, Donald L., Anthony D., William
Carnell, Joseph Juan, Christopher W., Kenneth P., and Jeffrey L. McKinnon Sr.; she is also survived by
16 grandchildren, Shermaine and Marcus Smith, Charessa Mckinnon Puryear, Anthony Jr., Tameka
Rochelle Gordon, Latoya McKinnon, Joseph Jr., Christopher Jr. and Malcolm McKinnon, Natalie
Walden Kirkland, Darrick Smith, Kamesha Morales, Jeffrey Jr., Dominique and Bianca McKinnon,
Desmond McKinnon, Darryl McKinnon, Tiffany Hawkins and Je’Veon McKinnon; as well as 23 great-grandchildren.
She also lovingly embraced two special individuals who became an integral part of her family: her adopted
son, Edwin Lewis, and her adopted daughters, Renee Collins and Valerie Strother.
Helen is further survived by her special daughters-in-law and cherished family members, Barbara, Patricia
and Janice McKinnon, and Cynthia Walden.
