
Fayetteville residents are invited to pitch in and pick up litter during the fall Fayetteville Beautiful cleanup on Nov. 11, according to a news release. Registration for the cleanup is open.
Volunteers can pick up supplies at 121 Lamon St. from noon to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. An organizer will confirm cleanup locations and distribute supplies to each person or group participating, the release said. Supplies include trash bags, an event shirt, fliers, and water. Organizers will be on site to answer questions.
Volunteers decide when they begin cleaning up trash and waste from their designated areas, the release said. All filled trash bags should be tied and placed on the side of the road or an intersection near cleanup areas by Nov. 12.
Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation and city of Fayetteville Public Services crews will begin collecting trash bags Nov. 13, the release said.

The city-sponsored program is dedicated to encouraging people to take greater responsibility for improving their environment through litter abatement, waste reduction, and beautification, the release said.
Fayetteville Beautiful aligns with the cityโs โPut Waste in its Placeโ campaign, which reminds residents and visitors of their role to ensure the city remains a desirable place to live, work and recreate, the release said.
