A Tar Heel woman has been charged in connection with a home invasion in Hope Mills in mid-April, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident was reported on April 14 in the 5100 block of Bararis Court in Hope Mills, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
The victim said two people entered the home armed with a handgun and stole property. One of the suspects was identified as Peaches Lynette Lockamy, 26, of Tar Heel, the release said.
On Wednesday, the Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, searched Lockamy’s home in the area of McNeill Road in St. Pauls. Investigators seized cocaine and drug paraphernalia, the release said.
Lockamy was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon; conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon; interfering with an emergency communication; possession with the intent to sell drugs; maintaining a home to sell drugs; and possession of drug paraphernalia, the release said.
Lockamy was held at the Bladen County Detention Center on a $75,000 secured bond.
