Dogs and cats at Cumberland County Animal Services were treated to a Christmas feast Wednesday morning.

The Friends of Cumberland County Animals organized the meal for approximately 100 dogs and 50 cats housed at the shelter, the county said in a release.

β€œIt’s great to see the animals enjoying a special treat like this,” Elaine Smith, the Animal Services director, said in the release. β€œWe wish that all these pets could find great new homes for the holidays, so please consider adopting a new pet if there is room in your home.”

Β Adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $70 for cats. The adoption fee covers spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines, the county said.Β

Β The animal shelter, located at 4704 Corporation Drive, is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The shelter will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 23–27.
