The application period is now open for nonprofit organizations in Cumberland County that want to apply for assistance due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the county said in a release.

The Cumberland County Nonprofit Fiscal Recovery Assistance Program allows nonprofit organizations to apply for up to $50,000 in direct assistance to reimburse organization expenses related to:

  • Payroll, which includes wages and associated payroll taxes; and
  • Occupancy, which includes rental lease payments, mortgage (for organization property) and utilities.

The application is available on the Cumberland County Board of Commissioners’ American Rescue Plan Website at cumberlandcountync.gov/departments/commissioners-group/commissioners/American-rescue-plan under the “Nonprofit Assistance” banner.

The site also includes a link to a virtual information session county staff hosted for nonprofit organizations on Dec. 6, which was recorded and provides more information about the program, including a question-and-answer period, the release said.

Anyone with questions should contact the county’s American Rescue Plan team at arpsmb@cumberlandcountync.gov.
