
A Parkton man has been charged with multiple break-ins in the Upchurch Sands neighborhood, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives with the Property Crimes Unit arrested Malik Rockell Singleton, 22, about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a news release.
Singleton is charged with two counts of breaking and entering; two counts of larceny after breaking and entering; two counts of possession of stolen goods; two counts of obtaining property by false pretense; and felony conspiracy, the release said.
He was taken to the Cumberland County Detention Center and held on a $22,000 secured bond. His first appearance in court was Tuesday afternoon at the Detention Center.
Singleton was additionally charged with attempted breaking and entering and injury to real property. His court date for those charges is 9 a.m. Friday at the Cumberland County Courthouse, the release said.
