A section of Raeford Road in western Fayetteville that washed out last month during heavy rainfall will require more repairs, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.
The contractor reconstructing the damaged section will close the eastbound lanes at Graham and Seventy-First School roads starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
To detour around the closure, drivers should take Graham and Strickland Bridge roads, which will require a longer commute.
The contractor aims to complete the drainage structure repairs and reopen the road by Wednesday morning, a DOT news release says.
The road was reopened after emergency repairs were made June 27.
