2 men killed in separate shootings in Eastover, on Dudley Road
Homicide detectives with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office are investigating separate shooting deaths on Saturday, according to news releases. The first shooting was reported about 12:50 p.m. Saturday when a physical disturbance was reported at 4001 Pembroke Lane in Eastover.
Murphy Road bridge at Eastover closed for flood control project
The Murphy Road bridge at Exit 55 on Interstate 95 in Eastover has been closed for a year, according to a spokesman for the N.C. Department of Transportation. A new bridge over nearby Reese Creek is being constructed.
