The Nancy H. Blackmon Legacy Scholarship will host its first annual golf tournament at King’s Grant Golf and Country Club on April 9.
The Nancy H. Blackmon Legacy Scholarship is awarded in honor of Nancy Blackmon's dedication to Fayetteville High School/ Fayetteville Terry Sanford. Each year one Terry Sanford graduating senior, who is the child or grandchild of a Terry Sanford High School alumnus, will receive the scholarship in the amount of $1,000 (for a four-year college or university) or $500 (for a community college).
The goal is to create a perpetual award through the endowment of the scholarship.
Tournament play will be captain’s choice with four-person teams. Sign up individually ($75/person) or as a team of four ($250/team). Tournament check-in and a light breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The player registration form is available at https://www.eventcreate.com/e/nhbscholarship.
