The line is growing, but the resources aren’t growing with it

On any given Tuesday or Wednesday, a line begins forming at 8 a.m. at Connections of Cumberland County. Single women, with or without children, are lining up to request financial assistance with any number of housing-related requests, ranging from eviction prevention and utility disconnect prevention to utility reconnect and housing deposits.

We can’t wait to connect again both inside and outside the concert hall for our 2023-24 concert season. The lineup includes seven season concerts, four free-admission community concerts, and several free-admission Symphony on Tap events at local breweries and restaurants.

National Assisted Living Week, an annual tradition recognizing the importance of senior assisted living, is being observed Sept. 10-16. Established by the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) in 1995, National Assisted Living Week encourages senior living residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and others to celebrate assisted living communities.
