Posted

An arrest has been made in a shooting Sunday afternoon on Nutmeg Place that left one man dead, the Fayetteville Police Department said.

Brayan Millan-Bonilla, 19, was arrested Thursday morning, the Police Department said in a release. He has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of  20-year-old Julian Wright, police said.

He is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under a $50,000 secure bond.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday on the 3500 block of Nutmeg Place, the Police Department has said.

They found Wright inside his home with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The preliminary investigation revealed the individuals involved were known to each other and were inside Wright’s residence,’’ the Police Department said in a release earlier this week. “An interaction between the individuals led to Wright being shot.’’
