Barbara Carolyn Martin Jones, 84, of Stuarts Draft Virginia, formerly of Spring Lake passed away peacefully on July 12, 2022 at Augusta Health Virginia.
Barbara was born on February 21, 1938 in Hickory, North Carolina to the late James Edward Martin and Margaret Louise Sigmon Martin. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph B. Jones; son, Ralph B. Jones, Jr.; daughter, Donna L. Jones and one brother, Sonny Pressley.
Barbara’s memory will be cherished by her family, daughter, Rhonda (Ed) Dorrell of Stuarts Draft, VA; Mark (Dorothy) Jones of Warrenton, VA; sisters, Gail Huffman of Newton, NC and Sharon Kensinger of Hickory, NC; brother, Brent Martin of Claremont, NC; grandchildren, Connie (Houston) Boone of Blythewood, SC, Tim (Christina) Dorrell of Lakewood, NY, Joshua Jones of Warrenton, VA, Lisa (Stephen) Abbuhl of Warrior, Alabama, and Cheryl (Tammy) Massengill of Coats, NC; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Barbara worked at Womack Army Medical Center as a pharmacy technician for over 20 years. She worked hard and was dedicated to serving others. She was a charter member of Anderson Creek Rescue and was a huge basketball and football fan. In her later years she enjoyed playing cards with her friends.
