Betty Odom Melvin, 84, of Fayetteville, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 2 pm at Carroll Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. James Baker presiding. The burial will be private.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Melvin; her parents, John Purvis Odom and Ollie Ruth Polston; her brothers, Charles and Harvey Odom; her sister, Louise Holmes; and her daughter, Donna Nance.
Betty is survived by her sons, Arbie and Chan, both of Fayetteville; daughter, Lynn of Raeford; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; brother, Ronnie Odom; sister, Martha Wrenn; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:30 pm to 2 pm at the church.
