Boys' golf teams have bright outlook in Cumberland County

Here is a preview of Cumberland County golf.
 
Fayetteville Christian
Coach: Robert Taylor
Top returners: Ben Webster, Sr.; Matt Wilson, Jr.
Promising newcomers: Kris Willis, Sr.; Nathan Broadwater, Paxton Roach.
Coach’s comment: “Young team with two seniors and one junior leading the way. Matt Wilson should be all-conference and team should be fighting for another second-place finish in our conference behind Village.
 
Pine Forest
Coach: Jimmy Peaden
Top returners: Langdon Paquin.
Promising newcomers: Luke Strickland, Fr.; Jaxson May, Fr.
Coach’s comment: “I believe we can be a top three team in our conference this year. I have a good group of young men who work hard and are dedicated to improving each week.’’
 
Terry Sanford
Coach: Jeff Morehead
Top returners: Ethan Paschal, Thomas Horne, Parks Helms, Charlie Horne.
Promising newcomers: Taft Courie, Wilson Harrell, Riley Liles.
Coach’s comment: “We look forward to competing each week in the All American Conference and two invitational in April. We hope to be playing our bet golf and defend our state championship in May.’’

Top returners: Tyler Evanson, Landen Kersey.
Promising newcomers: Jacob Fisher, Layton Lucas.
Coach’s comment: “Our outlook is bright. We know we are young. No seniors on the team. Evanson and Kersey were both second team all-conference last year.’’
