Brenda Heath Wilson, 75, of Fayetteville passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022. Born on February 3, 1947, in Fayetteville to the late, John F. Heath and Katie Heath.
Brenda leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Gary Wilson; son, Heath Wilson; daughter, Heather Wilson Tuttle and husband, Jason; siblings, Betty Moore, Phyllis Highsmith, and Johnny Heath; and her six grandchildren, Blake Wilson, Casey Wilson, Dallas Wilson, Wilson Tuttle, Brayden Tuttle, and Lawson Tuttle.
Brenda was involved in pageants being named “Miss Fayetteville” in 1966, and she was also “Miss Rhododendron”. While Miss Rhododendron, she rode in The Rose Bowl parade and sat with Richard Nixon and Bob Hope at The Rose Bowl game and she spoke to the London Lions Club.
There was much more to Brenda other than her beauty. She never put herself above anyone and loved helping others. She especially loved helping younger girls participating in pageants. Brenda loved the Lord and Snyder Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member for over 40 years. Brenda also loved her job as a hairstylist.
Brenda and her husband, Gary Wilson, were together 60 years including time before their marriage of 54 years.
A visitation service will be held at 12:45 to 2 PM on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in the Gathering Hall. A celebration of life service to follow at 2 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Snyder Memorial Baptist Church in Brenda’s name.
