Eggs Up Grill, a breakfast, brunch and lunch restaurant, will open a location in Hope Mills in December.
Located at 2951 Town Center Drive in Traemoor Village Shopping Center, the restaurant is the first Eggs Up Grill planned in the Fayetteville market for franchise partner Stephanie Poole, joined by Brittney and Lauren Poole, according to a news release.
Stephanie Poole has spent the past 17 years in corporate accounting and customer service, while also dreaming of opening her own business, the release said. She began frequenting Eggs Up Grill restaurants and loved that the brand was centered around family, the news release said.
“What makes Eggs Up Grill so special is that it reminds me of the Southern, home-cooked American-style breakfast that I grew up on,” says Poole.
Poole recently relocated to the Fayetteville area with her family.
“I have fallen in love with this community and cannot wait to serve my fellow neighbors the best breakfast, brunch and lunch in town,” she said in the news release.
With indoor seating for 130, the 3,500-square-foot restaurant will serve guests from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, with dine-in, online ordering, takeout, catering and delivery options. A private room called The Coop will be available for large groups or community gatherings.
The Eggs Up Grill menu features breakfast favorites like eggs, grits, home fries, biscuits and gravy, and muffins. Salads and sandwiches are available for catered lunch.
A total of 11 Eggs Up Grill restaurants are open in North Carolina, with more than a dozen under development. The chain also extends to South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, and Alabama, and will soon open locations in Texas, Mississippi and Ohio.

FTCC President Mark Sorrells named Tech Difference Maker of the Year
Fayetteville Technical Community College President Mark Sorrells has been named the NC TECH Association’s Tech Difference Maker of the Year.
NC TECH is a nonprofit, membership-driven technology trade association with a membership of more than 600 companies, organizations and institutions employing more than 200,000 workers in North Carolina, according to an FTCC news release.
The association’s individual awards recognize executives and stakeholders based in North Carolina for their accomplishments in the tech industry. Winners will be celebrated at a gala Nov. 1 in Raleigh.
Sorrells was recognized for his work as FTCC president, which includes his role helping launch the Carolina Cyber Network.
CCN is a collaborative workforce development initiative designed to meet the growing talent needs of the state’s public agencies and private businesses.
FTCC and the Carolina Cyber Center of Montreat College, both of which hold designations as Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity Education by the National Security Agency and U.S. Department of Homeland Security, joined to establish CCN. Since then, 16 other higher education institutions have joined the initiative.
Sorrells recently delivered a presentation on CCN and North Carolina’s innovation in cyber education at the National Cybersecurity Education Colloquium in Illinois.

Economic development corporation names new marketing manager
Jennifer McFadyen Hammond is the new manager of marketing and community engagement for the Fayetteville Cumberland County Economic Development Corp.

Central Carolina to host National Manufacturing Day open house
SANFORD — Central Carolina Community College will participate in National Manufacturing Day on Oct. 6 with an open house from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the E. Eugene Moore Manufacturing and Biotech Solutions Center, 2101 Nash St. in Sanford.
Manufacturing Day is designed to expand knowledge about manufacturing careers and manufacturing's value to the United States, according to a news release.
Representatives of industries in Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties will be on-site to showcase their companies and products, present career opportunities, and increase manufacturing awareness.
Coastal Carolina faculty will provide information related to careers in manufacturing, the release said.
