Charlotte Rowland, 92, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Charlotte was born in Germany in 1930 to the late, John and Theresa Weissbacher. She was married to her husband, an Army Sergeant at the end of WWII, in Germany. She came with him to the U.S. where she was a homemaker raising 5 children. She also retired from M.J. Soffee as a machine operator. She loved her family, her beloved dogs, gardening and cooking for family get-togethers.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of years, Pervia Ewin Rowland; son, Paul Edward Rowland; son-in-law, Bobby Wright; two brothers, Helmut and Johann and granddaughter, Jessica Gardner. She is survived by her son, John and wife, Gwen of Kingsport, Tenn.;Daughter, Sally and husband, Bobby of Tarheel, NC; Daughter, Kathy of Godwin, NC; daughter, Theresa and husband, Chris of Hope Mills, NC; Brother, Herbert and wife, Biggi of Germany, and ten grandchildren, Shohay, Shitoshy, Paul Jr., Bobby Jr., Charlotte, John, David, Joann, Michael and Matthew, and eleven great grandchildren Timothy, Dustin, Amy, Ethan, Laura, Arianna, Liam, Cooper, Keria, Alexa, Kai.
A visitation will be held at 11:30 to 12:25 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Saturday, September 10, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held at 12:30 PM in the Chapel.
