Cumberland County Schools on 2-hour delay Monday

Posted

Cumberland County Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students and school-based staff on Monday, officials said Sunday.

Officials said they made the decision after assessing schools and county roads following the snow and ice the area received over the weekend.

Buses will run two hours later than the normal time. Twelve-month employees and Central Services personnel will report to work at their normal time, if it is safe to do so, the school system said in a news release.

Morning Prime Time will not be available, and breakfast will not be served. Afternoon Prime Time will observe a normal schedule, the release said.

There may be some roads that are not passable for buses. School officials will notify families if bus transportation is not available, the release said.
