Tim Kinlaw, a former associate superintendent for auxiliary services for Cumberland County Schools and twice an interim superintendent, died Monday at age 71, according to the school system.
In Kinlaw's 25-year career with the school system, he served in various roles prior to his retirement in 2019, including twice as interim superintendent.
"Mr. Kinlaw held the responsibility of ensuring that all of our facilities were exceptional learning environments," Superindendent Marvin Connelly said in a statement.
Kinlaw provided leadership for several other areas including transportation, technology and child nutrition services.
Kinlaw was 71.
