Public swimming pools will open for the season Monday across Cumberland County.
Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation pools will provide relief from the heat from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
The pools include:
Regular hours will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1-6 p.m. Sunday. Holiday hours of 10 a.m.-6 p.m. will be in effect for three Mondays: Memorial Day, June 20 and Labor Day, according to a city news release.
Pool fees are $1 for residents 12 and younger and $2 for residents 13 and older. For nonresidents, the fees are $2 for ages 12 and younger and $4 for ages 13 and older.
The recreation department also operates 11 splash pads with another one opening soon at Lake Rim. Splash pads opened May 1 and will remain open until Sept. 30. Current hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 2-6 p.m. Sunday. Beginning June 1, splash pads will remain open until 7 p.m.

The recreation department offers youth swim camps throughout the summer. They run weekly from May 30 until Aug. 5. Registration is at fcpr.us or at recreation centers.
