Fayetteville police investigating Saturday homicide on Slater Avenue

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred along the 1500 block of Slater Avenue on Saturday evening, according to a news release posted to the department's Facebook page. 
 
At approximately 9:27 p.m., officers  responded to a shots fired notification from Shot Spotter and multiple 911 calls for reports of a shooting along the 1500 block of Slater Avenue.
 
Upon arriving on scene, officers were notified by emergency medical service personnel that four subjects were transported to a local hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. 
 
One of the four victims succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. His identification is being withheld until his family has been notified. The other three victims were listed in stable condition.
 
This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
