Forrest Beverly Hardin Jr., 90, of Hope Mills passed away Monday, August 29, 2022.
He is predeceased by his wife, Mila McLean Hardin; brothers, Steve Hardin and Billy Hardin; and his sister, Katherine Hardin (Edwards). He is survived by one sister, Mary Ann Robinson of Fayetteville NC; his five daughters: Wanda Sova of Hope Mills, Cindy Morse and husband, Ron, of Aiken SC, Patricia McGill and husband, Gary of Cary NC, Beverly Blackmon and husband, Lee of Liberty SC, Connie Summers of Athens GA; and his son, Forrest Timothy Hardin and his wife, Darlene.
With little formal education Forrest accomplished much in a long and difficult life. He worked most of his life in construction, building houses in many states, but also trucked various goods from as far as Texas and Maine. He learned to do all aspects of house building and eventually became a general contractor.
He was loved and respected by all who knew him and was generous in his time and talents that he gave with all of his heart.
A visitation will be held from 12 to 12:45 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM with Dr. Ron Morse officiating. Burial to follow the service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
