Grady Author Young, Jr., 75, passed away at his home Thursday November 10th, 2022. Grady was born on June 2nd, 1947, in Junction City, Kansas to the late Grady Young, Sr. and Grace Christine Schonberner.

Grady was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Carol Young and his sister, Rhoda Dibbins.
He is survived by his sons, Tony Burke (Tracie), Grady Arthur “Art” Young, III. (Erika), and James Keith Young; his daughter, Christie Ragan; his sisters, Cathy Britt and Susan Keels; brothers, Gerald Young (Cheri) and Tim Young (Mary), and his very special friend, Kathy Bass; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Grady had many hobbies which he tackled with zeal. They included his award-winning homemade wine hunting, music, wood working, and most recently playing pool, which he took up after his wife’s passing. Playing pool brought him the most joy late in his life. Qualifying for the World Series of Pool in Las Vegas twice was the highlight the past few years. He will be tremendously missed by his friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service from 3 to 4 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Catfish Hunter ALS foundation or the Disable American Veterans (DAV).
