Hope Mills will look back at its textile heritage with the 15th annual Mill Village Celebration on Oct. 29.
A luncheon will be served from 2 to 4 p.m. at Town Hall, according to a news release from the town. The deadline to reserve a spot is Oct. 23. Email millvillagehm@gmail.com or call 910-578-5258.
Participants are asked to bring old photos of textile mills, houses, streets or other points of interest related to the town’s history. They will be scanned or copied and returned, the release said.
Reserved parking is behind Town Hall. Those attending are asked to use the Park Avenue entrance.
The celebration is sponsored by the town’s Historic Preservation Committee.
