Irene Swann passed away on July 13th 2022, while surrounded by her family.
Irene is survived by her daughters Sandy Nusbaum and Suzie Lanier, her son Mike Swann, and her daughters in law Sandra and Karin Swann, her sons in law Bryce Nusbaum, and Teddy Lanier. Her grandchildren are Sara Neal and husband Scott Neal, Anna Swann Smith and husband Josh Smith, and Gunner Lanier. Out of all of those people, her grandkids were her world. She spoiled them rotten and they loved their Oma. She’d slip them some cash every now and then and would tell them not to tell us. She could be pretty sneaky.
Irene was the kindest, sweetest, and toughest Mom and Oma there was. Irene never met a stranger and It is certain that every person who met her will never forget her. She left an indelible mark on this world. There were 2 things that meant the most to her; her family and animals, dogs especially. Our family has had many dogs over the years and we know that each and every one of them were waiting for her and attacked her with kisses. Irene loved music; from The Temptations, to Van Halen and she loved it all.
Finally, we know our dad Ronny was waiting for her with all of our dogs. Ronny and Irene were married for 56 years. While they had their moments, like any married couple, they were perfect for each other. When it is our turn to go, we know Mom will be the very first in line, as it should be.
